(Health Mutual Fund,Family Security Fund., Guidance for health and family problems)

These were two separate projects started in June2001 & April 2003 and Merged in the year 2006

Our observation says that health is major hindrance in overall development of a family. Swasthyapurna, which is Health Mutual Fund (people’s own Insurance), looks into health aspects of the family. We have got positive response from slum dwellers for the same. This project not only provides economic help for medical expenses but also arranges health checkup camps; awareness programmes and gives administrative support to apply for subsidized high cost treatment and surgeries.

We have around 2000 families (8000 individuals) covered under this program.

We have tie up arrangements with Hospitals and Diagnostic centers like Ramakrishna Math, Dinanath Hospital, and Desai Eye Hospital, Bharati Hospital, Unani Hospital, Mohintara Hospital, Sanjeevan Hospital, Kamala Neharu Hospital etc. Some socially committed doctors are giving free / subsidized services to our members.

We have Janashri Family Security Fund which provides insurance coverage to 3500 microfinance borrowers of ArthUdyampurna. It provides a death and accident coverage upto Rs. 50,000/- and an emergency compensation upto Rs. 1000/- on death of a family member.

This program draws support for administrative expenses from Interaide, France.

We give following services to the slum dwellers from all the slums around our branch offices under guidance for family problems

2.      Assistance and referral for health related problems.
