(Poor women and men’s economic empowerment program through Small Savings and Loans)
This project started in July 1993.
We give credit to poor women and men from Pune for Businees Creation/Expansion, Education, Housing, Repayment of Old Debts and Asset Creation. This program is implemented by forming small groups of women and men, which are called “Common Goals Groups.”
BORROWINGS:
1) A.M.M Mumbai has given a loan from Rashtriya Mahila Kosh Funds of Rs 3,50,000/-
2) “Interaide” France has given a revolving fund of Rs.- 9,20,000 /-.
3) N.M.D.F.C. has given a loan of Rs. 6,00,000/-.
4) Corporation Bank has given a Cash Credit of Rs. 20 Lacs.
5) UTI Bank has given a loan of of Rs. 30 Lacs.
6) FWWB has given a loan of Rs.30 Lacs.
LOANS DISBURSED:
During last 13 years a total amount of Rs. 5,00,00,000/- has been disbursed. This was possible only because of very high recovery rate and proportionately generated savings of the members.

Total loan amount disbursed per month : Rs.15,00,000/-
Outstanding loans amount as of Dec’06 : Rs. 1,16,14,872.26
Total Savings of Members as of Dec’06 : Rs. 35,60,413.58
TRADES PURSUED BY MEMBERS:
Vegetable vending, garbage picking, fish selling, fruit selling, papad rolling, garland making, tailoring, shoe making. Some are working as domestic servants, construction workers, farm & nursery labourers etc. Some are working as domestic servants, construction workers, farm & nursery labourers etc.
TOTAL NO. OF MEMBERS: 7243 members forming 1448 groups spreading over 80 slums and communities. We have branch offices in 7 places in Pune viz. Karvenagar, Jaibhavaninagar, Gokhalenagar, Hadpasar, Marketyard., City area and Dattawadi.
